Minutes of the January 12, 2011 meeting.
PRESENT: Sue Blouse, Mark DAgostino, Evelyn Seipp, Karla Triola
ABSENT: Doreen Knapp, Renee Richard
Frankensteins Fortress
Profits for 2010 are $8660.57. The Rec Commission will continue to work on the new skatepark/ basketball courts with the Haunted House monies.
Skatepark Project
There is ~$25,000 balance to continue work on the new skatepark / basketball courts. Copeland is to paint lines on the blacktop, fencing is being bidded on, and/with slats for privacy of tennis courts, hoops for the basketball courts, and a halfpipe for the skatepark, is planned. Need to discuss issue of old skatepark court.
New Rec Commission Members
Sarah Rigolino has sent in her resignation. Mike Denatale has sent in a letter of interest to the Rec Commission. Sue will call Virginia Stern with the recommendation to appoint Mike.
Also joining the Rec Commission is Doreen Knapp, taking Karen Gales place.
Rec Director
The Town Board did not reappoint Rich Dalzell as Stanford Rec Director as of January 4, 2011. The Rec Commission will advertise the position in the Northern / Southern Dutchess News and post on the Rec board. Rich Dalzell can reapply at this time.
Winter Basketball
According to Laura Wendover, Cold Spring Secretary, Winter Basketball is suppose to start Monday, January 24th through March 9th. Monday and Wednesday nights have been designated for play. Laura has given the Building Use Permit to Rich, but has not received confirmation.
Maintenance Position
The Maintenance position [assistant] will need to be advertised. Pat Maresca is listed as a Highway appointment, Sue will check into this.
Next meeting is Febuary 9, 2011.
